The Swallowtail stamp on page 18 of the Spring Catalog may be my favorite in the whole thing. I love, love, love it and am so happy in comes in a clear mount form (it will fit on the largest acrylic block we sell). $13.95 for that beaut? SOLD!
So, I was waiting for my class to start on Thursday and felt a bit creative, so I decided to whip up a quick card. I really love blue and black together, and thought it would make a pretty, simple card. I mean, with that big butterfly, there's not room for much else!
I inked it up using sponges and Bashful Blue, Marina Mist, and Midnight Muse ink. I colored the "body" with my Basic Black marker. The trick with sponging is to go lightest to darkest and to make sure you don't create too strong a "line" where one color stops and another starts. With the sponges, it's pretty easy to blend.
After I made the blue one, I thought, "wouldn't a pink one be pretty?". And then after the pink one, "how about green?" and then I wanted a purple and a yellow/orange. The possibilities are endless! :)
On all five cards:
Whisper White cardstock
Basic Black Cardstock
Basic Black Marker
