As a mom to 3 sons, I am constantly making birthday cards for little boys. Starting around Kindergarten, all of the birthday parties Jake went to were all boy. Even we started to invite just boys to his. While Josh still goes to some girl parties, it really seems like we have a little boy birthday party at least once a month. This week we have 3. Jake has two and Josh has one.
Since Jake and his friends are now 8- it's gotten a little tougher. No more cutesy cards will work. They have to be "cool". I love the Extreme Elements and various Extreme sports silhouettes stamps. Very cool indeed.
I made two versions using the same supplies. I stamped the surfer in Versamark and then embossed with clear powder. I then took Baha Breeze ink (YAY!) and sponged it all over- wiping the surfer off after I was done. I then took the various images from Extreme Elements and stamped all over- wiping the surfer off each time. I think they're pretty cool, huh?
