Enchanting Butterfly

This is one of the cards we made at last week's class, and I think it was my second favorite. Maybe favorite. I can't decide! :)

I love the Everyday Enchantment products on page 7 of the SAB catalog. This card has NO stamping! It was really quick and all came together thanks to the #1 reason I love SU!: the coordinating products that take guesswork and time consuming research out of the way!

Ch-Ch-Changes!

SU! had a Leadership Conference last week and a couple of exciting new changes were announced. A couple were about upcoming NEW products that I know you guys will love. Of course!

But the major announcement was about a change in the catalog system. Currently, the main catalog, known as the Idea Book & Catalog (IBC), comes out annually every July 1st. We have 3 minis: the Holiday mini runs September-December, the Occasions mini runs January-April, and the Summer mini May-August.

Here's the changes in a nutshell:

• The IBC will now run June 1st- May 31st and will be called the Annual Catalog. It will be slightly smaller (about 32 pages), and printed on lighter-weight paper. This will drastically reduce the cost, which I can pass on to you guys! Also, I will be able to mail the catalogs directly to those of you from out of town so that you get them the same time my local girls do!
• There will be NO SUMMER MINI. This sounds drastic, but it's really a good thing, in my opinion. The Summer Mini always overlapped with the new IBC and kind of got lost in the shuffle. 
• The mini catalogs will be replaced by two Seasonal Catalogs: The Holiday Catalog and the Spring Catalog. The Holiday Catalog will run August 1st thru early January, and the Spring Catalog early January through May 31.
• The Seasonal Catalogs will be bigger! They will be larger in size (8 1/2 x 11!!) and page count!
• The Simply Adorned and Decor Elements lines are being discontinued. I love the Decor Elements and would suggest that you look at these products and order what you love now. :)

Typewriter Love

This card came together in about 10 minutes and has become one of my favorites.

I simply stamped the tyepwriter and sentiment (LOVE this set), trimmed. Using my craft knife, I cut a little slit by the tyepwriter's "ribbon" and inserted the bottom of one of my little hearts. I placed everything on my paper with Dimensionals (of course!).

I scored 1/4" around each edge of the Sweet Shop DSP and layered it on Basic Black. The card base is Island Indigo.

Kind of a different color scheme for Valentine's Day, but I think Joe will appreciate it!

As I mentioned in my previous post, I don't have my pre order yet (poor me!) but you all know I love making thank you cards. :)

When I saw this stamp set in the catalog last summer, I loved it. I only wished it had a matching punch! But, after playing with it, I realized it is a very easy shape to cut out.

I especially like pairing it with the Big Top Birthday DSP. So bright and cheerful.

The Beautiful Occasions Mini is here!

Hopefully everyone got their copy in the mail. If you didn't or need a copy, please let me know.

The Occasions minis are always my favorite minis, and they always seem to include a really fun and exciting new product. I'll never forget when they introduced the clear-mount option 2 years ago, or all the exciting embellishments they had last year. This year is my favorite though- the new framelit dies!! Holy cow, I can't wait to show you guys these.I didn't place my pre-order until the very last day of the year (helping Santa costs a bundle!), so I won't have any fun new samples until next week. :( I'm soooo excited to get everything though!!

You can see the mini along the right hand side under "Current Catalogs". Also there is a carry over list from the Holiday Mini. These items can still be ordered!

I've also updated my supply lists to include the projects from the Occasions mini. Those are also listed along the right hand side.

Stocking Punch/Stamps News!

This is really surprising! As you all know, almost ALWAYS a stamp set that has a matching punch that shows up in a mini will show up in the next Idea Book & Catalog. Well, this, sadly, will not be the case for the Stocking Builder Punch and Stitched Stockings stamp set on page 34 of the Holiday Mini. SU! let us know that they will NOT be carried over. I take this to mean that there will be something fabulous taking their place instead. However, this punch and stamp set were my favorite in the Holiday Mini and I want everyone to have a chance to have theirs!

After 1/4, these items are GONE. In fact, if they sell out before 1/4, they're gone then, too!
